Arsenal have officially joined the race for Celtic wonderkid Moussa Dembele, according to the Sun.
The 20-year-old grabbed headlines again with a brace in the 3-3 draw against Manchester City in the Champions League, a game in which he was watched by Gunners scouts.
However, this is not the first time Arsene Wenger has expressed an interest in the young striker, whose situation he also monitored while he was still at Fulham.
Tottenham came closest to signing him last January, but a move fell through when they wouldn’t loan him back to their London rivals who were in a relegation battle at the time.
Dembele eventually ended up at Celtic, but his stay in the SPL could be a short one. Arsenal, as well as European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are keen to buy him in January, though it will take Celtic some convincing to sell him.
Celtic have clearly helped him in his development, but only he can decide if the time is right for him to step up to a truly big club on the continent.
