Aaron Ramsey still shows no signs of full recovery despite returning to light training with Arsenal earlier this month.
The Gunners are now becoming increasingly concerned by his injury, reports the Sun, with the 25-year-old failing to feature since the opening day of the season.
In a sense they only have themselves to blame, as Arsene Wenger rushed him back from his Euro 2016 campaign with Wales to play in the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates.
That decision looks extremely foolish now, as Ramsey’s hamstring continues to play up.
The good news is that Wenger has learned his lesson – albeit one he should already have known after 20 years at the club – and won’t play Ramsey again until he’s convinced he’s 100% fit.
The same could apply to Olivier Giroud, who must prove his fitness if he is to be selected for the weekend’s game against Chelsea.
Ramsey will certainly not play against the Blues, and given Arsenal’s woeful record against their London rivals, it looks like they’re already massively up against it before a ball’s even been kicked.
