Video: Gary Cahill’s furious interview after Swansea slip-up

Chelsea had every right to head back to the capital feeling a little aggrieved after dropping two points at Swansea.

Antonio Conte’s side dropped their first points of the season in the 2-2 draw and they will be even more frustrated given the manner in which they dominated the game.

Diego Costa scored twice for the Blues, but it was just as well given some questionable refereeing from Andre Marriner.

The Swans were rightly awarded a penalty for their first goal, put away by Gylfi Sigurdsson, but it was the second that will remain a bone of contention.

Leroy Fer appeared to foul Gary Cahill when robbing him of the ball for the second, but Marriner allowed play to go on. Take a look:

Cahill was clearly fuming with the decision and revealed he spoke to the referee after the game before giving this highly-charged interview:

It’s rare to see a player speaking so honestly, but Chelsea fans will have been concerned that the centre-back could now face disciplinary action from the FA.

The Sun have it, however, that the England international will not be charged for his rant.

Cahill also sent out two tweets in the aftermath of the game – one with a video of the incident, and the second reading ‘Incredible’ – but he has since deleted them.
