The transfer window might have closed, but that doesn’t mean Manchester United aren’t already plotting their future plans.
Despite a huge summer of spending at Old Trafford, the Red Devils still have work to do if they are to become a force again in the long run.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 34, is only committed to the club for one year, while Wayne Rooney, 30, is inevitably slowing down.
And while Ibra was never meant to become a stalwart, replacing Rooney is going to take some doing.
Unsurprisingly, United already have a contingency plan for the day the England captain either leaves or hangs up his boots.
Bleacher Report have it that that plan comes in the form of Atletico Madrid and France superstar Antoine Griezmann, who is widely expected to develop into the best player of his generation once Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo step aside.

Griezmann won the Golden Boot at Euro 2016, his six goals only propelling him further onto the world stage.
Prizing him away from Atleti is not going to be easy, but United have shown they are willing to flex their financial muscles to get themselves back to the top.
