Southampton are very short, too short for us at 1.42 and we couldn’t possibly entertain them at that price. On the flipside, Sunderland haven’t won down here in recent times and we wouldn’t be backing them either.
This fixture has been an Unders fixture in recent years with 5 of the last 8 matches finishing Under 2.5 goals. We don’t see that changing today as Moyes looks to keep things tight in the first half before searching for the winner in the 2nd half. This modus operandi served him well at times at Everton and this Sunderland squad has even less of a cutting edge.
