Marlos Moreno’s agent has confirmed the 19-year-old is set to join Manchester City in a deal worth £8million.
That’s via the Daily Mail, who report that the starlet is signing a five-year deal at the Etihad, though he is not in Pep Guardiola’s immediate plans.
This season, Moreno is set to be loaned out to Deportivo La Coruna in Spain, but he is thought to be one for the future.
Eladio Tamayo, the player’s agent, told FutbolRed that the Atletico Nacional man will sign a contract this weekend.
Moreno has been capped seven times for Colombia at senior level, scoring once, and can play as either a forward or a winger.
City fans would perhaps have preferred Guardiola to be focusing on the defence, the one area of their team which perhaps most let them down last season as they finished in a disappointing fourth place.
Nonetheless, at £8million, the Sky Blues can afford to take a chance.
