Liverpool are considering a move for Lyon full-back Jordy Gaspar, according to L’Equipe.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen at the back after some hapless performances last season, and he has already shown his intent to strengthen the defence this summer.
The Reds have brought in Joel Matip from Schalke and Ragnar Klavan from Augsburg, but they could still do with more options on the flanks.
Gaspar, who is just 19, can play at either right-back or left-back, so he could not only be a potential long-term replacement for Alberto Moreno, he can also provide cover for Nathaniel Clyne on the other side.
Brad Smith has just departed for Bournemouth, so it makes sense that Klopp wants to bring in a full-back, though Gaspar is a somewhat strange choice. Liverpool fanzine Empire of the Kop have given the lowdown on him here:

The youngster hasn’t played a first-team game for Lyon, so there are no guarantees that he will be able to adapt to the Premier League.
Admittedly, Klopp’s funds are limited compared to some of Liverpool’s rivals, so the German manager is perhaps being shrewd in signing an up-and-coming player.
If he is called on this season, it will certainly be interesting to see if he can be part of Liverpool’s transformation.
