Manchester City’s hopes of wrapping up a deal for Leroy Sane appear to have hit a snag.
It was thought Pep Guardiola’s side were in pole position to sign the Germany international, even if they had reservations about his £40million price tag.
However, according to several reports, his father has now indicated that City don’t have first reserve on Sane, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid also interested in the starlet.
Speaking to Bild, Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge would not comment on the speculation.
However, it still means the deal could be held up even longer as the player deliberates between his suitors.
Guardiola has already been kept waiting because Sane was on international duty at Euro 2016, but now that pre-season training has begun, he is keen to add the finishing touches to his squad as soon as possible.
Sane may be keen to join Bayern in his native Germany, but City were understood to be in talks with his representatives earlier this summer, so they may still have the last laugh.
