Chelsea have agreed a £32million deal with Leicester for star midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The Frenchman’s move to Stamford Bridge is now believed to be imminent, with Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri reluctantly recognising his wish to leave the Premier League champions.
According to Sky Sports, Kante will meet new Blues boss Antonio Conte at Chelsea’s pre-season training camp in Austria to discuss personal terms.
Kante was instrumental in Leicester’s title success last season, missing just one game, so Conte will be hoping he can have a similar impact at Stamford Bridge.
And the midfielder could be part of a double swoop over the next few days, with Chelsea also hoping to wrap up a deal worth around £50million for Kalidou Koulibaly, as per the Sun.
That will equal the club record fee paid to Liverpool for Fernando Torres five years ago, but it seems almost inevitable that it would be broken this summer.
This is arguably the biggest rebuilding project at Chelsea in the Roman Abramovich era, and signing a solid centre-back like Koulibaly has to be a priority.
