Arsenal’s last hopes of signing Gonzalo Higuain appear to have fallen away, with the Argentinian striker reaching an agreement with Juventus.
That’s according to Goal.com, who are reporting that the Napoli frontman will earn around €7million a year.
Higuain scored 36 goals in 35 games in Serie A last season, a feat which attracted the Gunners’ attention as they continue their search for a world-class striker.
However, it appears the Italian champions have pipped them to the post, that is, if Higuain was ever interested in a move to the Premier League in the first place.
Arsenal do seem to be struggling to attract top-class players, with even Jamie Vardy turning them down and signing a new contract at Leicester.
Juve have plenty to spend as they anticipate the £100million sale of Paul Pogba to Manchester United, and even without their main man in midfield, it looks as if they will still be a force to be reckoned with next season.
