Any last speculation linking Mario Gotze with a move to the Premier League can be well and truly put to bed.
Bild have confirmed that the World Cup winner is staying in the Bundesliga, moving to old club Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich.
Gotze left BVB three years ago, but despite his preference to stay in Munich, he was told to find a new club by incoming manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Thomas Tuchel clearly rates the player more highly, having offered Bayern €23 million.
And while Gotze must fear the reception he will get back at BVB, it can’t have deterred him too much, as he has reportedly signed a five-year deal.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had considered bringing him to Anfield, while Tottenham have also been linked.
After a disappointing Euro 2016 campaign, though, Gotze will want to stay in his homeland to ensure he continues to make an impression on the national side.
