Chelsea are interested in bringing Felipe Anderson to Stamford Bridge despite a difficult season with Lazio.
Gazzetta World report that Blues boss Conte, who of course kept a keen eye on Serie A last season in his capacity as Italy manager, still sees potential in the winger and could offer him the chance to reignite his career in West London.
Anderson was widely dismissed as a one-season wonder last year, having apparently failed to live up to his early promise.
Nonetheless, the 23-year-old still weighed in with seven goals, so he clearly still has something to offer Chelsea.
Last summer, Lazio were desperate to keep hold of the Brazilian starlet, but this time around, it’s a very different story.
The Italian club want to offload him to cash in while they can still get a reasonable price.
Lazio had a lot in common with Chelsea last season, finishing in a disappointing mid-table position as their key players failed to perform.
That’s not something Anderson will be hoping to relive, but should his move to the Premier League go ahead, he should be part of a Chelsea side back challenging for the title again.
