If Arsenal fans already thought the transfer window wasn’t going all that well for the Gunners, it could be about to get a whole lot worse.
Calciomercato are reporting that Juventus have made a £25million bid for Alexis Sanchez, with the Italian champions viewing him as a replacement for Alvaro Morata, who recently re-joined Real Madrid.
And to make matters worse, the same source also claims Sanchez’ agent Fernando Felicevich has informed Arsenal that his player wants to leave.
The former Barcelona attacker looked a forlorn figure at times last season, visibly frustrated by his side’s title collapse and failure to win any silverware.
That certainly wouldn’t be a concern at Juve, as the Old Lady have now won five Serie A titles in a row.
£25million doesn’t seem like a particularly high bid for Arsenal’s prize asset, and it is likely Juve will be asked to come back with a higher offer.
Nonetheless, the first rumblings of Sanchez’ discontent in north London are starting to sound, and that is a major, major concern for the club.
