Hirving Lozano is excited about reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The Mexican international told Esto, in an interview brought to our attention by the Manchester Evening News.
“It’s good that teams like [United] are looking at me and I think I need to keep doing things well, so that teams come watch me do it at international level.”
Lozano, who is currently with Pachuca, could become Jose Mourinho’s fourth signing of the summer, following Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
While he might not be a big name just yet, that could change if he moves to Old Trafford after this summer’s Olympics in Brazil as expected.
The 20-year-old would be perfect for Mourinho’s plans of injecting more pace into United’s attack, as although he is primarily a right-footed player, he can operate on both wings.
And even though he isn’t often used as a striker, he has still scored 21 goals for Pachuca.
It’s not clear whether Mourinho would be planning to utilise him in the first team straight away, but depending on how United’s other transfer business goes, we could be seeing a good deal of Lozano next season.
