Juan Mata is edging ever closer to exiting Manchester United, according to several reports.
Drawing on claims from Turkey, the Mirror are reporting that the Spaniard could be on his way to Fenerbahce.
Though he has been fairly consistent for United since arriving from Chelsea, it’s unsurprising that his time at the club is almost up.
The Blues sold him in the first place because he had fallen out of favour with then-manager Jose Mourinho, who is, of course, now in charge at Old Trafford.
And although it now seems Henrikh Mkhitaryan is unlikely to join from Borussia Dortmund, the fact that United were interested in him at all does suggest that Mourinho has no intention of giving Mata a second chance.
The Special One is reportedly ready to offload as many as 13 United players over the course of the transfer window, and it certainly looks at this rate like Mata will be among the first to go.
