Tottenham interested in Holland winger

quincy promes

Spartak Moscow Quincy Promes is on the move this summer and Tottenham are interested, according to the Daily Mail.

The Dutch winger, who has played nine times for his country, was watched by Mauricio Pochettino when Holland played the Republic of Ireland last week.

Pochettino’s presence at the game led to a flurry of speculation, firstly, that he was watching Ireland’s Shane Long and secondly, that he was actually there to view Holland’s Vincent Janssen.

He may well have been casting his eye over the two strikers as well, but that speculation has allowed his interest in Promes to slip under the radar.

Spurs are looking to add goals next season, and while he doesn’t play up front, he’s certainly the man to add that.

The 24-year-old has hit 31 goals in 58 games for Moscow, and given that Southampton are reported to be the only other Premier League club with concrete interest, it looks as if he could be on his way to Tottenham.

If it goes ahead, he’ll be part of a scintillating attack next season.
