LIVERPOOL could be about to make four quick-fire additions to their squad after assessing a talented Nigerian quartet at Melwood.
Jacob Njoku, Chidera Ejike, Suleiman Muhammad and Charles Ezeh were all on trial at the training facility this week.
And their agent, Babawo Mohammed, is hopeful they’ve impressed enough to secure deals.
Mohammed told AllNigeriaSoccer: “They finished the trials this Sunday, Liverpool will have to go through the report before deciding whether to sign them.
“I watched one of their trial games, they all did well, most especially Suleiman and Njoku. They will return to Nigeria next week.
“Liverpool welcomed them very well, so they are happy with the reception from the players, coaches and the officials.”
Striker Njoku and attacking midfielder Ejike are both 18, while Ezeh,16, is a defensive midfielder and 17-year-old Suleiman Muhammad is a winger who can operate on either flank.
Meanwhile, Liverpool could have to pay more than expected to sign Basle’s Breel Embolo.
The Reds have been linked with the combative forward who was previously valued at £20m.
However, Wolfsburg manager Klaus Allofs is eager to reverse their ailing fortunes and is prepared to pay £23.7m to secure his services, according to German newspaper Bild.
