Newcastle United have been the extra three points the other teams take away for quite some time.
This sounds unfortunate and being brutally honest, it’s very true all the same.
On the other hand; Leicester City have become the most-feared team amongst the League, mainly due to their resilient attack and relentless defensive drive.
It would come as no surprise if Newcastle are beaten by multiple goals when this match is played out.
If we go back in history to when Newcastle United were doing something special and offering entertainment along with their wins then we would see a certain Newcastle United side beating Leicester City 7-0.
This was back in 1993 but it does show how the times change. In the past Newcastle was a major threat and Leicester City, just a simple team to grab those three points off.
Now the times have changed and Newcastle are, again, fighting for survival in the English Premier League.
If we come forward to recent times, we can see the full effect of this shift as the two previous meetings between these clubs show exactly how clearly superior Leicester have been:
2nd of May, 2015:
Leicester City 3-0 Newcastle United
22nd of November, 2015:
Newcastle United 0-3 Leicester City
If these two results are anything to go by then any punter could make the bold choice of a 3-0 win for Leicester.
Leicester City should remain unchanged from the Watford games where they won 1-0 unless they decide to bring back in Andy King.
Newcastle United should have a bit of a changed line-up compared to their match against Bournemouth as they will want to radically bring forth a fresh streak into their last remaining games in the EPL for this season.
They might consider Seydou Doumbia in place of Perez as Doumbia offers extra pace and a more clinical shot in front of goal.
Ayoze Perez also has a yellow card and another would see him miss Newcastle’s match against Sunderland or Manchester City.
Newcastle United’s possible line-up:
Leicester City 4-1 Newcastle United
