Big move potential

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the wonderful talents of Neymar and even he suggested in the summer that there had been talks about his future with the North West giant. The BBC said at the time:

Neymar: Barcelona forward had Manchester United talks

With the player admitting:

“We had conversations, but there was nothing concrete.

“I heard that there were offers but none were made to me.”

And Manchester United surely won’t be the only suitor should he become available. Neymar is the latest La Liga star to be caught up in a tax scandal and his father, Neymar Snr, has reportedly told a judge that a world record offer has been made for his son. The Sun follows this one:

Manchester United lead the race for the Brazil superstar, with rivals City and Chelsea also monitoring the situation.

According to reports in Spain, Neymar Snr, whose son is being probed by a Spanish court for alleged corruption and fraud, told the judge that an unnamed club has offered £144.4MILLION for the striker.

Manchester United may well have been at the head of the queue for the player last summer. But with Pep Guardiola going to Manchester City this summer, then the goalposts may well have moved.

Neymar himself has said that he would love to play for Pep and Manchester City certainly have the money to do a deal.

“Guardiola is a guy that I really admire and who I would love to work with,”

Perhaps then the bid was made by Manchester City and Neymar could have been aware of this when he made these comments.

It’s all hearsay and conjecture at this point but we always say that there is seldom smoke without fire in the transfer market and if these tax problems persist we may well see Neymar come to The Premier League before too long.

If it does happen we would advise him to buy some thicker shinpads if he wants to preserve those magical legs of his!

Let’s see the brilliant 23-year-old doing what he does best.

Manchester United fans: can you see him at Old Trafford or do City now have the upper hand with Pep arriving in the summer?
