More youth

Arsenal failed to open up their opponents at The Emirates on Tuesday evening and it will leave many fans wondering whether the transfer policy is to blame.

But Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is well-known for investing in young players and it continues to pay dividends with the likes of Coquelin, Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain prominent members of the current squad.

And The Telegraph reports today that Arsenal retain an interest in bringing two more youngsters to the club.

Arsene Wenger to go back in for Ben Chilwell and Ryan Sessegnon this summer

Ben Chilwell

The 19-year-old left-back from Milton Keynes has been regularly linked with a move to Arsenal. While Leicester would surely be keen to keep him they may struggle – even if they win the league – in the face of interest from the mighty Arsenal.

He’s a composed and technically excellent player – as you would expect for a young footballer coveted by Wenger – who has represented England at U18, U19 and U20 level.

Ryan Sessegnon

Is a left midfielder who loves to get forward and has been likened to Gareth Bale no less. The same report states:

Sessegnon, who is a left-sided attacker in the mould of a young Gareth Bale, has been at Fulham since the age of nine

His name apparently came up in conversation when Fulham made an inquiry about taking Serge Gnabry on loan.

The youngster has been part of the Fulham side which has won the International Cup – a tournament for top youth teams – for the last two seasons.

He’s an exciting looking player and could perhaps learn his trade at Arsenal from the frighteningly good Alexis Sanchez.

Let’s see him in action – Sessegnon scores the third goal in this clip.

Arsenal fans: worth a punt?
