Confirmed: Manchester United vs Stoke Teams

Stoke-City-Vs-Manchester-United

Should be good

Manchester United vs Stoke, The Premier League, 2nd February 2016, Old Trafford, Kick Off 20:00 GMT

Manchester United: De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Borthwick-Jackson, Fellaini, Carrick, Lingard, Mata, Martial, Rooney.

subs: Romero, McNair, Varela, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Pereira, Memphis.

Stoke City: Butland, Johnson, Wollscheid, Muniesa, Pieters, Whelan, Afellay, Walters, Krkic, Arnautovic, Crouch.

So, after a win at Derby in the FA Cup, some seem to think that Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is off the hook.

But, based on the incredibly merciful treatment of the Dutchman so far by the United board, we aren’t sure whether he was ever on the hook.

Given the option we would have got rid of him a long time ago and brought in Jose Mourinho to separate the wheat from the chaff and get this side motoring again.

As things stand Manchester United are now 5 points behind Tottenham who sit in the fourth Champions League spot.

So the game against Stoke at Old Trafford on Tuesday is yet another fixture in which United can ill-afford to drop points.

Stoke have been flying this season and are only 4 points behind The Reds. They have been playing some lovely stuff as well.

It all adds up to another intriguing fixture which Manchester United may win – but not comfortably based on the results so far this season.
