German media reports have today suggested that Schalke starlet Leroy Sané wants to move to Barcelona.
The uber-talented 20-year-old attacking midfielder is having a great season in Germany with 6 goals in 27 increasingly impressive appearances this term.
That form has drawn reported interest from several top clubs around Europe.
But the player wants Barcelona according to Bild who report (via Sky Sports):
Schalke wonderkid Leroy Sane wants to move to Barcelona, reports Bild. The 20-year-old midfielder is on the radar of several European giants, according to reports in Germany, but Barcelona are now thought to be in pole position.
French media outlet L’Equipe reported recently that a fee had already been agreed for Sané to move to Barcelona this summer for in the region of €37m. They said on 13th January:
Leroy Sane (20) should leave the Gelsenkirchen club in June in favor of FC Barcelona. As indicated in our columns, attacking midfielder has a release clause of €37 million and Barca have decided to pay that sum.
But while nothing has been announced from any of the parties involved this latest report will only add to the speculation.
Sané is a fantastically talented player. A natural born footballer who loves to dribble and has a wonderful range of tricks.
But he doesn’t overelaborate and, like Messi, he is as effective as he is entertaining.
Messi isn’t 29 until June and there is no suggestion that he will leave the club any time soon.
But Barcelona will be painfully aware that in 2-3 years they are going to have to look for fresh inspiration. They could do a lot worse than to sign and develop this brilliant youngster over time.
Sané has similar qualities to the peerless Argentine. He’s so comfortable on the ball and seems to have the football brain to go with the pace, trickery and other raw materials. It’s an intoxicating combination and he already looks close to the finished article.

we hv halilovic who is way better with the ball and dribbles better than this Sane. I would stop supporting barca if he is not given the chance next season.. Much better than wasting money on this guy.
