Barcelona are looking to bring Celta Vigo forward Nolito to El Camp Nou this month and have made a final offer to his club in order to secure his services.
That’s according to Spanish news publication Sport.es who reports:
FC Barcelona has already made its final offer and will not move to secure the services of Nolito
The club has already submitted a final offer and will not move on this issue. It is something that you take it or leave it.
We are big fans of Nolito and, while he won’t be expected to start ahead of Messi, Neymar and Suarez, he will get plenty of minutes in a long season in which Barcelona are very much expected to go the distance at home and in Europe.
The 29-year-old, who can play as a winger or up front, actually spent three years at Barcelona between 2008-11 but never quite made the grade. He did play 106 times for Barcelona B and scored 29 goals But he was limited to 5 appearances and one goal in the first team before moving to Benfica.
He had a decent stint in Portugal (16 goals in 63 games) before moving back to Spain and Granada. There his career took off once more. He moved to Celta in 2013 and has hit 35 in 84 games for the club.
That form saw him get a debut for Spain in 2014. He has gone on to play 5 times for his country.
His goals, as well as his technique and wonderful movement, have not gone unnoticed at Barcelona and when they really want a player they usually get him.
So we expect Nolito to be a Barca man again by February.
Let’s take a look at the Spanish intentional in acton.
