Everything could change: 3 Manchester City transfer window updates

Lots of speculation

One of the best things about this recent dreamlike scenario for Manchester City fans since the Sheikh started rocking the house is how ruthlessly the club has been conducting its transfer business.

While speculation can drag on for months at other clubs to get a solitary deal over the line, Manchester City just seem to pay more or less whatever the selling club wants, in order to snare their targets with minimum fuss.

We won’t be at all surprised if they add to their solitary midfield signing this month and, in terms of Anthony Caceres, there has been a development as The Daily Mail reports:

Manchester City have sent new signing Anthony Caceres straight on loan to sister club Melbourne City.

The 23-year-old signed for Manchester City from The Central Coast Mariners last week but he won’t be seeing much of the North West of England just yet.

In other news a representative of Wilfried Bony has asserted that he won’t be leaving the club to rejoin Swansea or any there side this month. Francis Kacou said:

‘Wilfried will stay at Manchester City,’

‘They are all just rumours.

‘A departure this winter was never on the agenda, and City simply wouldn’t sell him.

The representative was at pains to point out that Bony has scored 8 in 23 for Manchester City since he joined the club last winter, despite regular injuries.

We think that he’s a proper player and City would be mad to offload him.

Speaking of proper players, Yaya Toure has been linked to Inter Milan for some time and his agent has come out to speak publicly about the prospects for the Ivory Coast international who will be 33 in May.

Dimitri Seluk is quoted in The Daily Mail as saying:

‘He won’t move in January, but in the summer everything could change.

‘We’re ready to listen to every offer that will come to the table.’

It’s always sad to see your best players wane in front of your eyes and although Toure still has his wonderful moments, they have been more fleeting of late.

But good luck trying to Manchester City inter attempts to replace him. Because even the Sheikh’s money may not be enough to find someone quite that good again.
