Another chance?

For our money Liverpool have a really good looking squad and although Brendan Rodgers had a hit and miss transfer history, Jurgen Klopp would be the first to admit that the Irishman left him with a decent crop.

One of the anomalies of Liverpool under Rodgers was the gamble on Mario Balotelli which certainly did not pay off as the striker struggled badly.

But his agent Mino Raiola has suggested that there may still be a future for the Italian international at the club.

The Daily Mail writes:

Mino Raiola is planning talks with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in an attempt to convince him Mario Balotelli deserves a chance to revive his career at Anfield.

And the source quotes the agent as saying:

‘For sure. That is part of my job, to speak to all the managers,’

‘I know Klopp from (representing) Mkhitaryan at Dortmund.

‘If we talk about the quality and the talent Mario has, that is without question.

‘Then you also need a manager that believes in you and gives you the chance to prove yourself. We will talk to him when it is time to talk to him.’

Balotelli is on loan at AC Milan this season but has played only 4 times (one goal) due to a problem with his groin which has now been operated on.

We agree that there is no doubting his talent but Liverpool fans may have lost patience with the striker for good after some ridiculously slovenly performances in the Liverpool red during his time at Anfield.

But if anyone can coax the best out of Balo on a regular basis to has to be Jurgen Klopp. And we still think that Mario has the qualities to play a big part for Liverpool.

Let’s see some of his best moments or Liverpool. And let us tell you, they are pretty thin on the ground!
