Injuries clearing up? Manchester City’s Best XI vs Arsenal

Sergio: Ouch! Hot!

Belter

Fixture: Arsenal vs MANCHESTER CITY, The Barclays Premier League, The Emirates Stadium

Date: Monday 21st December, Kick Off 20:00 GMT

Injured: Samir Nasri, Fernando

Doubtful: Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta, Sergio Aguero

Sergio: Ouch! Hot!

Sergio: Ouch! Hot!

Foreword: Manchester City’s doubtful trio have provided the backbone for all of City’s success over the last few years and their participation could be crucial to the outcome.

While Kompany’s leadership qualities and Zabaleta’s experience at the back have been missed it’s Sergio Aguero whose shoulders the Manchester City fans’ hopes will rest upon. Wilfried Bony is an excellent understudy but Aguero’s pace and sharpness in front of goal could be the difference in a tight game for City.

With Manchester City safely through to the knockout phase of The Champions League, and a very winnable tie against Dynamo Kiev in the bank, they will now concentrate on finding more consistency in the league and consolidating their position at the top of the table before European hostilities resume in February.

They are still our favourites for the title and can blow anybody away on their day.

Prediction: We sense that a draw is the safest bet but either could win this game comfortably. If the hosts get the first goal, City could be in trouble.

Team: Here is our best XI. Manchester City fans: let’s have yours.
