Manchester United would probably not have picked an away game at Bournemouth after the crushing defeat in Germany.
The side who beat Chelsea on their own patch last weekend haven’t been in great form but they will surely take heart from a defeat of the champions.
And Manchester United have serious shortages in their side due to injury. Chris Smalling and Matteo Darmian were added to the injury list on Tuesday evening and neither is expected to recover in time for this one.
So the definite Manchester United absentees are:
SMALLING, DARMIAN, ROJO, VALENCIA AND SHAW
Then there are the doubtful, of which all have a chance to feature:
SCHNEIDERLIN, JONES, HERRERA, ROONEY
Although injuries will heavily dictate to the selection, we sincerely hope that Fellaini and Lingard are dropped from this one. While you could make a case for the clumsy Fellaini to start, due to his physicality, Lingard has done absolutely nothing for weeks.
We would have them both cleaning boots for a while. Basti was also terrible in Germany and Morgan Schneiderlin could recover in time for the weekend to replace the 31 year old.
So here is our best XI, with Rooney back and Martial causing havoc on the left flank.
Manchester United fans: let’s have your teams.

Depay poor again last night and Lingard not much better. Time to give Periera a proper chance!!
