The Manchester Evening News reports that Manchester United will be without two more first teamers for the visit to top of the table Leicester City on Saturday evening (Kick off 17:30 local time).
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal confirmed in his weekly press conference on Friday that Ander Herrera and Phil Jones had failed to recover for the match.
But MEN reckons that Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo are also out:
Manchester United are set to be without defender Marcos Rojo and forward Jesse Lingard in their top of the table clash at Leicester tomorrow.
Lingard apparently pulled a hamstring in the midweek bore draw against PSV while Rojo’s injury hasn’t been specified but his wife posted a picture of him at home on Friday night, when he should have been with the squad.
While Rojo will be a real miss, we think that the absence of Lingard could be a blessing in disguise.
He is a bight and technically good player but his finishing has been poor and Manchester United have dropped points as a consequence.
However unimpressed you have been swath Memphis so far fro Manchester United, he is a powerful striker of the ball and we would prefer to have him in the side ahead of the Englishman.
Memphis needs minutes for Manchester United to improve his confidence and if he gets a start against Leicester we have a sneaking suspicion that he could be a match-winner.
He may even play up top with Martial on the left of the attack, where the Frenchman seems to cause absolute havoc.
