Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has really pulled a couple of rabbits – albeit hugely expensive rabbits – out of the hat over the last few years with the signings of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Both have become central to Arsenal’s style of play and the latter has to be one of the hottest properties in Europe right now.
Indeed, there has been talk of late that the brilliant Chilean is being courted by the self-proclaimed biggest club in the world, Real Madrid.
With Real Madrid misfiring up top right now, it’s easy to see why.
And unless Arsenal smash their wage structure it’s safe to assume that Sanchez could earn more at La Liga giants.
But he seems like a man who loves Arsenal and, amidst all the new contract and transfer talk, Sanchez has sent a reassuring message to the fans. It reads ‘Hello gunners 🇬🇧😀 now focused on the Arsenal … My home 💪🏼 ⚽️ come on Saturday ⚽️’
Nice to see that there is still some semblance of loyalty in modern football and it’s not entirely about money.
Arsenal did, after all, rekindle the career of Sanchez to a degree, after Barcelona let him go.
And, at just 26, this star can be a huge catalyst for Arsenal for years to come.
