Pace

One of the predominant names in relation to Manchester United transfers over the course of the last 24 hours is Leroy Sane.

The Schalke winger has pace, guile and an eye for goal and he’s been getting plaudits left, right and centre for his performances.

So much so that Manchester United and Liverpool are said to be amongst his lofty suitors. One report states that Manchester United scouts have been ‘all over’ him in the last couple of weeks. British media outlet, The Sun, says:

MANCHESTER UNITED and Liverpool are hot on the trail of Germany’s new rising star Leroy Sane — Schalke’s pacy young winger.

United boss Louis van Gaal wants more speed in his attack and his spies have been all over the 19-year-old in the last couple of weeks.

He’s only played 30 games in The Bundesliga for Schalke but has hit 9 goals already. And 15 of his appearances have come this season (5 goals) as he has quickly made himself indispensable to the team which sits 5th in the German top division after 12 rounds.

All of this consistent brilliance has been rewarded with a debut for Germany this year and Manchester United surely won’t have it all their own way with the transfer. As well as Liverpool, it’s impossible to imagine that the likes of Bayern Munchen haven’t taken an interest, with Arjen Robben now reaching veteran status.

While Sane is still very young he may just be seen as one of the solutions for Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, who has a very public craving for more pace on the wings.

Let’s take a look at the blisteringly quick winger in action.

Manchester United fans: too young or too good to miss out on?
