‘Persecution’: Confirmed Manchester United target could leave his club

Ideal signing

The top brass at Manchester United will have their ears pricked for this story.

Because Neymar’s father and agent has spoken out about the problems that his son is having with tax in Spain.

Sky Sports quotes Neymar Senior as saying:

“Since we arrived to Spain we have been under attack and it has extended to Brazil. For the last two-and-a-half years, we have had to defend ourselves from accusations.

“We will respect Neymar’s contract with Barca but regarding the contract extension, we need a deal that gives us peace of mind for Neymar, my companies and my family.

“I don’t want to use the word persecution, but if the working environment here is not good, we won’t be able to remain in Spain and will have to leave the country.”

It’s important to state that Neymar Senior also said that they weren’t currently minded to leave Spain and Barcelona will surely pull out all the stops to keep him at the club.

But the increasing financial power of Manchester United and The Premier League means that a once fanciful notion is now a very real prospect.

That is to say, Barcelona will have a serious fight on their hands to keep Manchester United at bay over the next few years.

Neymar himself confirmed earlier this season that Manchester United were keen to sign him and he would clearly tick all the boxes for Louis van Gaal if he wants to add some pace and penetration to the side.

But Neymar to Manchester United would still present a bigger shock than when RvP signed and we think that this one is still a long way off.

Let’s see some Neymar brilliance.
