With Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne adding to Manchester City’s already superb forward line in the summer, you might assume that another forward would not be top of the transfer list this winter.

But Manchester City are a brilliantly run club from top to bottom these days and they are always on the look out for the talent of today and tomorrow.

And they are reportedly showing interest in a brilliant young forward from Mali. The Daily Mail reports:

Manchester City have expressed interest in Mali prospect Aly Malle.

Just 17 years of age the youngster shot to prominence this year by being named as the third best player in the World Cup under 17 tournament which finished on Sunday.

His country, Mali, where beaten by Nigeria in the final but Malle’s input didn’t go unnoticed.

The report suggests that the player is known or his pace and is also technically excellent.

He has had spells in Germany and France in his formative career but has yet to sign for one of the big boys.

With the quality that Manchester City have at their disposal up top right now it’s hard to imagine him getting any time in the first team so it seems likely that, if he did move to City, he would be loaned back out pretty sharpish.

Let’s take a look at the youngster in action. Manchester City fans: keen?
