The Manchester United legend has been lifting the lid on his life over the last few days, in anticipation of his movie, Ronaldo, which is to be released next week.
And, in a massive boost to one young Manchester United star, CR7 has named Memphis Depay as one of the best youngsters around.
Asked which 5 rising stars he rates most highly in football, he is quoted in The Daily Mail as saying:
You see many players with potential, I will mention Odegaard of Madrid for example, at 16 he’s still young but you can see he’s a very good player,’ he said.
‘Hazard for example, the No7 of Manchester Depay is a good player too, Pogba and maybe Neymar.’
Despite scoring a few fantastic goals in The Champions League this season, and having a decent overall goal tally of 4, the Dutchman has arguably struggled to adapt to life in The Premier League and was dropped from the Manchester United first team last month.
But we strongly believe that he is easily one of the best four forwards at the club and Louis van Gaal needs to give the lad more confidence to get forward.
Depay has the sort of pace that this Manchester Untied side is desperate for and we believe that the sooner he gets back in the first team, the sooner United will start clicking up top.
And this complement, from one of the greatest players in the world, can only help the youngster in his quest for consistency.
Manchester United fans: is Depay worth a starting place?
