Manchester City are just beginning to get that mean, lean look about them again.
After a coupe of freak results at the start of the season they have settled down and gone on a fine run at home and in Europe. And they don’t look like losing any time soon.
And all this without arguably their best two players.
Of those two, Sergio Aguero is still some way off fitness.
And David Silva hasn’t been risked tonight in the 4th round tie against Crystal Palace.
The Spaniard may well be ready to resume Premier League duties at the weekend.
But Manchester City have still put out a side that tells you they are taking this competition seriously.
But Crystal Palace are having the time of their lives right now and will come into the game full of confidence and attacking intent.
They will fear nothing and look forward to having a right good go in a tournament which has enjoyed some brilliantly liberal football over the last few years.
