With things going so unusually sweetly at Arsenal right now their coach, Arsene Wenger, may wish that the season was ending now.
Because after so many false dawns in the last decade many to most are assuming that the next slip won’t be too far away.
Arsenal have a history of not taking this tournament too seriously, with the other competitions taking precedence.
But Arsenal will want to maintain their momentum and a tricky away tie against Sheffield Wednesday is an exercise in balancing youth and experience.
With a tough away game at Swansea in The Premier League to come this weekend Wenger will look to freshen things up and there are several players in this squad who need game time.
Among those are Debuchy, Gabriel Paulista, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joel Campbell and Calum Chambers. We are also going to assume that Mathieu Flamini gets an outing and would love to see a start for the exciting 19 year old winger/forward Alex Iwobi.
Mertesacker, Ramsey, Rosicky, Ospina, Arteta, Wilshere and Welbeck remain sidelined.
So here is our Arsenal team which has enough experience to win the game on Tuesday night (Kick Off 19:45 Local Time) but also enough rotation to give The Gunners a fresh look for the weekend.
Arsenal fans: let’s have your elevens
