Arsenal continue to be strongly linked with an imminent move for the prolific young German striker Leroy Sane.
Weekend reports from The Mirror state that Arsenal once more sent scouts to see the 19 year old in action, as his incredible run of scoring form continues:
Arsenal eye Leroy Sane transfer after Gunners’ scouts watch Schalke teen score in Europa League
The 19-year-old bagged his seventh goal in nine games for club and country in a 2-2 draw with Sparta Prague
We have sensed some remorse from the Arsenal manager that he failed to sign his countryman Anthony Martial in the summer and perhaps this will embolden his pursuit of another of the hottest properties in European football.
He’s hit 3 in 3 for the Germany Under 21 side. And he has been steadily rising to prominence in The Bundesliga too with 13 appearances and 4 goals already this season, to match his total for the entire last campaign.
He’s really quick, has lovely feet and doesn’t mess about when he has a sight of goal.
Even at 19 (perhaps especially at 19) he won’t come cheap and Schalke are no minnows so they won’t feel compelled to sell.
But if the player fancies a move to the capital of England this could change things.
Arsenal could use another striker to deepen their squad up top and Arsene Wenger has always been excited by the prospect of buying and developing youngsters.
Let’s take a look at Sane in action.
