Many would call this a pretty pointless exercise.
But we have a few moments to spare and also wanted to highlight how Manchester United have become more competitive in the transfer market over the last two years.
Because, before that, there were times when it was hard to make a case for any Manchester United player, apart from De Gea, in a combined eleven.
Manchester City have bought well too but we think that the FIFA restrictions placed on clubs like City just slowed them down a little – which kept things more competitive in general.
Anyway, Manchester United would have a good shout for three defensive berths, if everyone was fit.
‘Mike’ Smalling has been playing out of his skin, while Luke Shaw and David de Gea are two of Manchester United’s very best players.
In midfield Yaye Toure would stroll into pretty much any engine room in the world. Bastian Schweinsteiger gets our vote alongside him in a 4-2-3-1.
Then the fun bit – the forward line.
Both teams have a wealth of attacking talent. City added De Bruyne and Sterling this summer while United brought in Memphis and Martial.
It’s impossible not to make contentious decisions here.
But we are very comfortable with our front four choice of Martial left, De Bruyne right, Silva in the hole and Aguero up top.
What a gobsmacking football team. Here it is.
