Ramsey Out: The Arsenal XI to go top of the league against Everton

All change

It’s a funny old game isn’t it?

A couple of weeks ago we wouldn’t have been surprised to see burning Arsene Wenger puppets outside the ground after a home defeat by Olympiakos.

Now, a few weeks and a couple of games later, Arsenal are not only winning, but beating the big boys.

A well deserved win against United and a thrilling, if slightly fortunate defeat of Bayern Munchen and thing are starting to look rosy once more for Arsenal.

But this latest surge in form will count for nothing if The Gunners slump again now.

They need a win on Saturday to go top of the league, at least for 24 hours, as Manchester United and City play on Sunday.

Everton are looking good in general but were roundly beaten on their own patch against United this weekend.

On this sort of form you would expect an Arsenal win but Everton are not an easy team to break down and, if they come to defend, it could be a long afternoon.

The only big question int mrs of selection right now is whether to start Walcott or Giroud.

Perhaps, after some brilliant cameos, the Frenchman deserves a start in what should be seen as a meritocracy by the players.

Aaron Ramsey suffered a hamstring injury after an hour and he will miss the game.

But that’s one of the few changes we are making to a largely settled team for the weekend. And we predict that Arsenal will indeed be looking down from the peak of English football come Saturday evening (kick off 17:30 local time).

Here’s our team.
