Manchester United’s new signing is almost unplayable

Big Player

The win at Everton was one of those few occasions when there were so many good performances that it was difficult to pick a man of the match.

Ander Herera pulled the strings and looked undroppable. If only he could improve his consistency he could have the same sort of impact as David Silva does at City.

Morgan Schneiderlin gave easily his best performance so far in a Manchester United shirt.

He not only added bite to the midfield but also passed the ball beautifully, to show that he is much more than just a destroyer.

And, in defence, Smalling was imperious again, while Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo enjoyed solid returns from injury.

But, as the game wore on, the stand out performer was surely Anthony Martial.

Playing for the first time in a Manchester United shirt on the left of a forward three, he tormented Seamus Coleman in the second half.

His pace combined with his close control make him almost unplayable at times on that left side and defenders don’t know whether to make the challenge or stand off.

Whatever they decided on Saturday, Martial got the better of them time and again with beautiful runs down the left and some great deliveries to finish off the good work.

At 19 years of age it is clear to see that Manchester United have signed a very special player indeed and one who can rub noses with the best in the next few years.

The Ballon D’Or shortlist has just come out and we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Martial on there this time next year.

We feel that this will turn out to be a game-changing signing for Manchester United.

Let’s see his highlights against Everton.
