Arsenal once more looked like a slick attacking machine in the the second half against Watford and you would be forgiven for thinking that they don’t need any reinforcements in that department in January.
But another striking option would definitely be nice and reports today continue to look Arsenal with two excellent players. One, in particular, would surely push The Gunners over the title line.
Antoine Griezmann
It’s just rumour right now but various reports have linked Griezmann with Arsenal.
And his French nationality will only fan the flames of speculation.
And, make no mistake, this is one of the hottest properties in European football right now. He is very much in the mould of Alexis Sanchez.
He is nominally a winger but loves to cut in and scores as many goals as he assists.
He’s really quick, precise and strong. We think that he would get in any team in Europe right now.
If Arsenal did manage to sign him, they would have to be considered among the favourites for the title.
But the idea of him coming to Arsenal before next summer is fanciful.
Aleksandr Korkorin
The Sun reckons that this guy could be next through the door at Arsenal. They say:
ARSENE WENGER wants to launch a second bid for striker Aleksandr Kokorin.
The Arsenal boss is ready to make a £7million move for the Dynamo Moscow hitman in January.
The 24 year old has hit 10 in 36 for Russia and has been a regular, if not prolific, scorer for Dynamo over the years with 45 in 193 games for the club.
