Attack

With Theo Walcott beginning to look every bit like a top number 9 again after a couple of seasons of injury, you would imagine that the clamour, amongst Arsenal fans, for another centre forward would have died down a bit.

Walcott has been on fire for club and country of late and could end up as the long-term spearhead of a devastating front 3 with Sanchez and The Ox.

But the Arsenal squad could definitely use more depth up top, with Welbeck injured and Giroud regularly flattering to deceive.

In this respect, The Guardian throws up three names today, who have been linked to a move to The Emirates in the latest news cycle.

Alexandre Pato

Many thought that Pato was going down the Michael Owen route of being burnt out by his mid-twenties.

But after losing his form in Europe the Brazilian international (27 caps and 10 goals) went back to South America and has done rather well with 33 goals in 83 games for his latest club Sao Paolo.

Pato is still only 26 but we can’t see him coping well with the physical demands of the English game.

Nolito

The 28 year old Celta Vigo winger/forward is a very interesting player. He’s scored 32 in 79 for Celta and really hit form over the last two years. But he has only played 4 times for Spain and Arsenal may deem him too old for a big investment.

Michy Batshuayi

Surely the most interesting prospect of the 3 for Arsenal. At 22 the Marseille striker has explosive pace, strength on the ball and looks as if he’s going to improve again. 60 goals in 158 games in his senior career and he made a goalscoring debut for Belgium on 28th March this year.

Let’s see him in a action.

Arsenal fans: can any of them improve the squad?
