We have said it since he started at Tottenham – Mau-Po is a man of substance and a top coach.
Unbeaten for 7 games and starting to show a real team spirit, Tottenham should go into this one with confidence and swagger.
Liverpool is always a massive opponent and they will be boosted by the arrival of their new maverick coach, Jurgen Klopp, who will be desperate not to lose his first game in charge.
But, despite not having it all their own way in the transfer market this summer, Tottenham have bought well and added real teeth to their attack with Son Heung-min and N’Jie.
The emergence of Dele Alli and improved form of Erik Lamela, in spurts, have added weight to the hope that Tottenham can put a real top four challenge together this season.
Spurs did ok for injuries during the international break and only Son looks likely to miss this one, with Ryan Mason, Danny Rose and Nanil Bentaleb back in contention after injury.
We think that the youngsters, Lamela and Alli should start on the flanks with Eriksen of course in the hole after his brilliant 2 goal showing against Swansea last time out.
So here is our best XI for the game of the weekend.
