It looks as if it could well become one of those crazy Premier League seasons where everyone keeps beating everyone else.
Manchester City took a pasting at the weekend in a match that could just as easily have been 4-1 to the away side.
But, with Chelsea also losing ground weekly, it’s going to be a fascinating title race.
What Manchester City will want to avoid is another meek offering in Europe.
They have all the talent in their squad to have a really good go at The Champions League this year but they must learn from previous experiences.
A home defeat against Juventus heaps the pressure on and they now surely have to take the points at Borussia Mönchengladbach on Wednesday evening.
But the injuries are piling up. David Silva, Yaya Toure, Wilfried Bony and Vincent Kompany may all be out of this one, with Mangala, Delph and Clichy definitely out.
On the plus side, Joe Hart should be back between the sticks after a dodgy performance from Willy Caballero at the weekend.
The really positive thing is that Manchester City’s magical front three are fit and, with them playing, a good result is always possible.

We do need to see a few more goals from Sterling and Aguero but these three should carry Manchester City forward in Europe this week.
