Have Manchester United found their own Sergio Aguero?

Much reference has been made to Thierry Henry when discussing the myriad talents of Manchester United new boy Anthony Martial.

He is, after all, French and loves to drift inside from a starting position to the left.

He’s a lovely dribbler and he looks like a natural goalscorer.

But we think that he has more of the Aguero’s about him.

He’s three inches taller than Aguero at 5ft 11in (Henry is 6ft 2in) but he still looks fairly diminutive – perhaps because he is so muscular for one so young. Martial looks almost as wide as his is tall.

Both Martial and Aguero have robust physiques – perfect for The Premier League.

But it’s his ground speed and ruthlessness in front of goal that really reminds us of the Argentine.

Martial looks like a player of instinct who will regularly flummox the opposition by hitting the ball earlier than expected, or appearing to have that extra yard of pace to anyone else on the pitch – just like City’s talisman.

The 19 year old also appears to punt the ball with his toes, at times, in the same way as Aguero. Both seem to have inordinate control of the football regardless of which part of their foot they use.

With Manchester United desperately lacking in goals until this teenager showed up, Reds fans won’t mind too much about who he reminds them of, if the Frenchman gets anywhere near either of those two stars in terms of style and achievement.

But we think that Martial could be viewed as Manchester United’s answer to Sergio Aguero as the season progresses.

Either way, after just three games for the club, the fans are already desperate to see another appearance from their new hero.

Manchester United fans: Does Martial remind you more of Aguero or Henry?
