Despite serious investment already this summer Manchester City look hellbent on further strengthening in the last couple of weeks of the summer window.

With Nicolas Otamendi bagged this week, Manchester City appear to have moved their sights towards the forward areas of the squad.

And latest reports suggest that they have a agreed a deal with Real Madrid for a young striker:

Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Real Madrid striker Ruben Sobrino, according to AS.

The 23 year old forward has played 6 times for the Spain U19s but hasn’t yet broken into the Real Madrid first team. Instead he has bided his time with the Real Madrid B team and SD Ponferradina.

We shall bring you confirmation on that one if and when it comes.

And, in other news, Manchester City look to be drawing ever closer to a massive deal for Belgian winger Kevin de Bruyne.

Even though the price is now getting stratospheric it appears that City are pressing ahead with this one.

Sky Sports again reports:

According to German newspaper Bild, Wolfsburg have accepted a €70m offer from Manchester City for Kevin De Bruyne with reports of a €10m-a-year long-term contract on the table.

The deal for De Bruyne now looks inevitable with Manchester City clearly prepared to go to whatever financial level it takes to bring him to The Etihad.

We imagine that this one could well be done by the time Manchester City take on Watford next weekend in The Premier League.

Let’s see Rubin Sobreno in action.

We Pray To succeed getting De Bruyne’s signature this week so he can replace Navas in the wing and strengthen our attack. We can even go as far as obtaining the champions league and make history for the club. As for the Sobrino guy we don’t really need him, we already have the likes of Aguro and Bony. And Bony even has problems of less playing time already, what do we need Sobrino for. Let him go to a club where he will have regular playing time.
