Karim Benzema being monitored by Manchester United according to highly respected source

Benzema

Big Player

All the rumours for the last few weeks have suggested that Arsenal are leading the chase for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

The Frenchman has been the subject of transfer speculation almost since he signed for Real Madrid.

But he has lasted 6 years at the club and has got better with each season.

The last campaign was possibly his best yet he is still being linked with a move on an almost daily basis.

And in an interesting report in The Guardian, Jamie Jackson states that Benzema is on Manchester United’s radar in the medium term.

If an elite No9 became a viable potential recruit then the manager would consider him, with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema remaining one such player who is being monitored.

The emphasis of the report is very much that Manchester United are currently concentrating on other areas of the squad in this window and that they are prepared to let Wayne Rooney take the reins as the main number 9 this season.

But it will be of interest to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to hear that Manchester United are potentially keen.

And it may even speed up any move from The Gunners for the Frenchman.

At 27 he’s at the top of his game and has scored at a decent rate for Real Madrid as well as becoming and increasingly rounded target man who holds up the ball well and brings others into play with his great technique.

He’s also a very hard working team man.

Let’s take a look at the star in action.

MU should go all out for Benzema and get him immediately before Benzema arrives at London for Arsenal medical. No time left for Woodward. Don’t sleep dreaming Benzema is in MU.

Benzema can boost man utd squad because he is a fighter and quick in attacking. Let Woodward stop sleeping on Benzema . Thomas Muller will not leave Bayern, just exchange De Gea with Benzema
