Have Arsenal already signed World Class striker? Some seem to think so

As neutrals we genuinely hope that Arsene Wenger gets bold in the last couple of weeks of the summer transfer window.

Yes, he has made some big signings in the last couple of years. But, too often, he seems to take half measures in the market – signings average, mid-priced players rather than the cream of the crop.

This summer he surely needs a top striker to make the most of the ridiculously good quality service that the Arsenal squad has at its disposal.

In a very top team, which wins the big trophies, Olivier Giroud would be seen as a brilliant back up. He can be relied upon to score goals against average sides but not to make a difference in the tightest games.

But, if Arsenal can sign Edinson Cavani, they would be so much closer to taking the title this season.

Looking at Wikipedia today, some apparently already think that the lad has joined Arsenal:

And Talksport reckons that Arsenal are in talks to sign the Uruguayan from PSG:

Arsenal have held talks with Paris Saint-Germain over potential deals for Adrien Rabiot and Edinson Cavani, talkSPORT has learnt.

At a stroke we reckon that these two would make Arsenal a serious title contender.

Rabiot is a technically excellent and promising young midfielder who has seen decent action at PSG but wants more game time.

As for Cavani, 210 goals in 381 club games tells you all that you need to know.

Let’s take a look at Cavani in action.

Arsenal fans: do you feel confident that you can prise this lad away from France?
