In a somewhat surprising turn of events, Manchester United superstar Angel di Maria has been named on the bench for the last game of pre-season against PSG in America.
Di Maria was supposed to meet up with the Manchester United squad earlier this week – he was scheduled to came in late due to his involvement in The Copa America and the injury that he sustained in it – but missed his flight without any real reason being given.
The Argentine’s future is the subject of intense speculation and PSG are serious suitors for his signature.
It may simply be a swan song for the lad or Manchester United may still have designs on keeping the brilliant winger.
Either way it’s something of a surprise to see his name on the squad sheet for the game.
Manchester United fans will be hoping that the lad gets a run out and perhaps even has a change of heart about his future at the club.
