Broadsheet says Manchester United are now urgently moving for £100m of attacking talent

Virtually every team got Kaned last season

Expensive talent

With RvP almost out of the door and Falcao gone Manchester United will surely invest in at least one more striker this summer.

And reports this weekend suggest that they could be about to move for £100m worth of talent in another summer of huge expenditure at the club.

The Independent says:

United will move urgently to bring in their prime transfer targets, which The Independent understands to be Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller.

Let’s be honest. Neither of these two are going to be easy to snare this summer.

The report suggests that Manchester United may be in with chance of getting Thomas Muller for £60m based on his relationship with manager Louis van Gaal, of whom Muller said earlier this year:

“It’s a secret for nobody,” Muller said.

“Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes beyond that which is normal between a player and a coach.

As for Kane, Tottenham will be in no mood to sell this summer and Manchester United will face stiff resistance if they show interest.

But the will of the player is ever more important in modern football and, should Kane decide that he fancies a move, things could change quickly. That said, the player seems extremely happy at Spurs right now. But the report states:

United’s interest is genuine and they could test Spurs’ resolve with an opening offer of around £40m.

If Manchester United could get one of the two they would feel immeasurably better equipped to challenge on all fronts next season.

Let’s take a look at Muller in action. Manchester United fans: who would you prefer between Kane and the Germany international?
