Arsenal in talks to sign celebrated 51 cap creator according to respected source

No sooner has Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger finally done a necessary deal, in bringing Petr Cech to the club, than he is indulging in his long held penchant for attacking midfielders again!

Because, if reports are to be believed, Arsenal are in talks to sign the brilliant Spanish international Pedro. The Independent reported last night:

Gunners ‘begin talks’ to sign Barcelona winger Pedro

Reports in Spain apparently suggest that Arsenal have begun preliminary talks to snare the playmaker, even though he has just signed a new contract with his club.

The 27 year old has played 51 times for Spain and scored a creditable 16 goals. He’s also been instrumental to the success of the most brilliant club side of all time and, although he hasn’t always started for Barca, he’s managed 318 games and exactly 100 goals for the club.

You would imagine that, at any other time, he would breeze into the side. But such has been the quality of the front three that he’s found it increasingly difficult to get into the Barcelona team.

But at 27 he has so much more to give and we think that, despite Arsenal’s glut of attacking midfield options, this guy could add something to the squad. He could play anywhere across the midfield or on either wing and he is as accomplished a player as you will find.

Let’s see the lad in action. Arsenal fans: is this what you need right now?
